i eat at Saddlers at least once a week and have been doing so for the past 15years. What 'Anonymous' is mentioning has to be untruthful. Yes, the bottomless glass of water is $1 but seldom is it charged. There is an extensive bottled menu and does states tap water is a $1 but from what i recall the owner saying, it was due to requests for pitchers of ice water requested and then waitress dumping most of it down the drain.
In so much as the glaring, shaking of head, etc.... is the truth being stretched &/or did Anonymous misinterpret the conversation betwen cook & waitress ? I think so

I've been there four times on business and twice the food was excellent but the last two times have been very disappointing: the meal was cold, bland, and the rice was overcooked. But I did like the atmosphere and their choice of wine was excellent.

The vegetarian choices are excellent and love the atmosphere. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The outdoor patio in the summer is a great bonus.

My wife and I have been going to Jives since it opened. We always have excellent meals and drinks that are delivered by friendly professional servers. Jives is like a fine wine it gets better with age.

My family loves to visit Jives every chance we get when were in Fredericton. The service is fast and courteous and the food is the best. I highly recomend to any that seek a pleasant experience.

but everytime we go there the service is terrible!! 20 minutes just to be acknowledged the last time we were there...terrible!! After an hour and a half, we had just finished eating and had only had our drinks topped up once...then had to search out our server just so we could pay the bill. Needless to say, we no longer take our business there.

Brittany wasn't happy today! no greeting, no thank you, no smiles...what a way to spend your birthday, when family takes you out. The food came and was served from cold to hot...did I mention all the plates of food ordered were from the 'hot' side of the menu? Family decide not to have them sing HB DAY. so glad...so sad!

I find Kwans a nice place to eat, espically for such a small town. Its usually hard to find different cultural tastes in a small town, but its there at Kwan. Everything is delicious, although i recommend the number 4a dn won ton soup!!!... AS for other comments about planning... well as a fellow service industry server and cook, those things happen.. oh well... believe me they were probably as sad to have to turn away your business, and it is very hard to get good staffin a small town... just saying put in others shoes... but everyone can have their opinion... mine is GREAT FOOD!! GREAT PLACE! ...
