I love the fried clams going down for lador days just to have the clams and buger i live in montreal was boen there and miss it so much.

Not just for Danny Burgers

The Big D atmosphere is a 1950s old-style drive-in. Waitress comes out to your car, puts the tray of food on the window (no rollerskates though).

Danny Burgers are certainly their specialty but the fried clams are the best in New Brunswick (Gould's in Shediac is a close second). My personal favourite item on the menu is the Beef Power, slices of roast beef on hamburger bun (and I get them to put cheese and a bit of danny sause on it).

I don't live in Bathurst anymore but when I'm visiting there's always a mandatory stop at the Big D.

I grew up in Bathurst, New Brunswick. If you've ever lived there you already heard about the locally famous Big D drive in restaurant. For those whom plan a trip to northern new brunswick in the future, if you ever get the opportunity to treat yourself to a 'Danny Burger' you will fall in love with one of the simplest but most flavor filled burgers across Canada. The sauce is what you crave even after you've just finished your first one. Its like you cant get enough of it, you'll get off work one day and not be able to stop thinking about it..... irresistible. Definitely one of this small town's best kept secrets. Personally, I haven't even tried anything else on the menu even tho I've visited this restaurant time and time again growing up. Oh! And the milkshakes are fabulous, strawberries' my personal favorite.
